The field guide / who we are

Who we are.

Technomadics is infrastructure for movement, living knowledge and the enhancement of the human biotechnological system.

We begin with movement. Not movement as escape, but as a way of knowing: walking across a landscape, following a season, carrying a recipe, a seed, a material, a question. The technomad is anyone willing to travel between forms of intelligence.

From what is already alive.

In the hands of a woman selling kilishi or fura da nono, in the practice of a herder who recognises a wild fruit with powerful anti-inflammatory properties, in the herb whose chemistry has not yet met a laboratory, there is already a future. We do not treat these encounters as raw material to be extracted. We treat them as relationships to be credited, understood and extended.

Technomadics makes a bridge between nature-sourced knowledge and organised human factory: between field and formulation, oral memory and dataset, kitchen and clean room, local maker and global market. The aim is not to replace one world with another, but to let them become more capable together.

Cosmism as a long horizon.

We draw from the Russian Cosmists because they asked an audacious question: what would it mean for humanity to take responsibility for its own continuation? Their vision joined science, ethics, art and collective work. We carry that question into the present, grounding it in the Global South and in the intelligence of people whose work is often seen before it is understood.

Here, bioprospecting can sit beside poetry. Phytochemicals can sit beside a grandmother's preparation. Programmability of matter can sit beside the patient observation of a landscape. The network is a place where these are not competing categories, but different instruments for making life more possible.

A platform for convergence.

Join as a harvester, formulator, researcher, translator, nomad, funder or curious neighbour. Bring a wild input, a prototype, an archive, a question or an appetite. Our work is to make the signal legible, connect it with the right people and return value to the source.
